Dera Doctor Long; '
I am taking the liberty of imp'osing oja^our good nature,
by asking for some information regarding the early aedical history of
Oklahoma ,as I have been asked by our local news paper to write an article
on that subject for their Fiftieth anniversary issue.
About when was a Territorial Medical Society organized in the Indian
Territory?
."'ere thdre any Local "Societies there?
When "as the first Medical Society organizer! in Okla. City?
When was the first Medical College Organized, what was its name and how
lcn<? did it last?
Then was the Medical department organized in the State University?
When was the Medical bulding and the University Hospital Built?
When was the Cripled Childrena Hospital Built?
About how many men are there on the faculty of the Collge now?
About how many Doctors have been graduated from the Collge,
I expect that Dr. Joly will know more about medical matters In Oklahoma
City than any one else in the City.

for mailing, but ouing to the strenuous objection on my part,on account of
the lack of any clinical facilities the matter was dropped ;so yoe see that
Suthrie was the seat of the first Medical Collge in the State;that was in
1393. I am moat Sincerely Yours. wfT-fc&Ajt^s
